Orchestral journeys Our journeys are often full of gaps, or vice versa they are repeatedly repaired, each such change is a record that shows the course and the story of the specific place. Journey as a visual and acoustic image “I have been recording the captivating places on my journeys in photos and I am converting them into the “musical and pictorial scores”. Pictorial scores are made of Preciosa® Genuine Czech Crystal, where every composition of stones captures an accurate picture of the place, everything that is happening there. Often these places exist without being noticed. Aesthetics of the places and their new appearance get a new name; it is revived and presented to our vision. In the different time levels it can interconnect the tracks and their visual images in their original nature. With the two levels - imprints in space and time - I add their links in the musical composition. Journeys that have been transformed into visual appearance in the form of a relief are with its own structure predestined for further deconstruction. The specific place from which the relief was created has its own hidden syntax, sounds, melodies, some of which are partially uncovered in their visual imagery – and they are fully uncovered by the true music – the acoustic image. Musical relief is actually sheet music written from the specific place. I obtain the score with the help of mathematical structure (numbers are notes), where I calculate the contents of the entire photographed area (path), content of the size changes (traces) and subtract them from the contents of the original surface area. The result is a hidden musical theme - acoustic image.”
